SANUM científico-sanitaria is a quarterly digital journal, with scientific articles of interest for the development of the different professional health areas. SANUM publishes original and unpublished articles, which are evaluated by the editorial and scientific committee.

Papers must meet quality, validity and scientific rigor standards to promote the dissemination of scientific knowledge.

SANUM is the scientific journal of health and expression of the Federation the Public Services of UGT Andalucia, of the health, social health and dependency sectors.

SANUM is a journal of open access (Open Access). All articles are accessible immediately and permanently to facilitate reading and downloading. Included in this Open Access process is the self-archive for the authors of published articles for inclusion in repositories.

The journal is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial- NoDerivatives 4.0 International licence.

SANUM is included in the MENDELEY bibliographic manager.

SANUM has obtained the signature DORA (Declaration of San Francisco that promotes an assessment of research based on the quality of the research itself).

SANUM is published quarterly in the last week of the months of January, April, July and October .

SANUM publishes articles in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE

This journal has as its maximum aspiration to achieve the updating of knowledge, the promotion of research and the dissemination of scientific knowledge among all health professionals. Its objectives are:
• Publicize the advances in science, spreading new knowledge among professionals in the health and socio-health field.
• To offer professionals an environment of scientific interaction that helps to broaden their professional skills inherent in research, knowledge, quality and scientific rigor.
• Provide their own environment, giving healthcare and social healthcare professionals the opportunity to present original scientific works that will be published for dissemination in the healthcare environment.

All interested professionals can publish their articles of a scientific nature, following the recommendations and rules indicated by the editorial and scientific council; thus ensuring their validity and quality.

SANUM Magazine accepts for publication those works that are interested in the knowledge and information determined for the development of the different professional areas of health science professionals and that favor the development and dissemination of research, knowledge and skills of them.

This journal is governed by the double blind peer review system and publishes original articles, reviews, clinical cases or case studies, protocols and specific articles from the different health disciplines.

Open Access

All published articles are accessible online immediately after publication, which is completely free and without registration barriers. They are distributed under the Creative Commons license. Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) .

Open Access includes the possibility of self-archiving by the authors in both pre-print, post-print and final PDF-print when the article is published in the journal; for inclusion in national and international repositories.

Peer Review Process

The manuscripts received by SANUM journal are initially valued by the journal's technical secretary, in charge of registering them and verifying that their structure is in accordance with the journal's editorial policy. Subsequently, it will be evaluated by the editorial board or the scientific director to verify that the work has a line of research that fits with the disciplines covered by the journal and that it is subject to the instructions proposed for the authors regarding the formal aspects of the manuscript. , a double-blind peer review process is applied, in which two expert reviewers in the field voluntarily evaluate the manuscript and do not they know the identity of the author or authors of the work and vice versa.

The reviewers evaluate the manuscript and send the report to the editorial management with the opinion of their revision, which can determine that:
• The manuscript is accepted for publication.
• The manuscript requires major modifications or less to be accepted.
• The manuscript is not accepted. It is definitely dismissed.

Once the report has been evaluated by the scientific management, it will be this body that finally decides the publication or dismissal of the manuscript and in any case, a letter of notification is sent to the corresponding author with the decision made and in case of having been rejected, the reasons for it.

If the manuscript needs to be modified, a letter of notification is sent to the corresponding author with the instructions to make the suggested modifications, indicating the maximum term for its new delivery and providing the manuscript with the modifications clearly indicated, thus facilitating a new round review to be carried out either by the scientific director or by the reviewers, depending on the extent of the modifications and their influence on the quality of the manuscript.

If the manuscript has been accepted for publication in the journal, approximately the number where the article will be published will be indicated, depending on the queue of articles that are pending publication in the journal.

If the manuscript has been rejected for publication, a letter of notification is sent to the corresponding author indicating the reasons why it has not been accepted for publication in the journal and the possibility that it may be published in other scientific journals.
